Despite the sanctions the export by Russia of Dutch goods remains to grow rapidly. In the period from January to July 2017 the Dutch export to Russia amounted Euro 3,2 billion, 35% more than in the previous year. This on the basis of information of the Dutch Statistical Agency.
The trade is growing despite the fact that sanctions on the export of products such as fruits, vegetables, meat and fish to Russia are still in place. The growth of the export is a result of the export of goods produced in the Netherlands such as machines and transportation devices.
The steep hike of the Dutch export to Russia looks to be a result of a stronger ruble and the economic growth in Russia that grew up to 2,5% in the second quarter.
