Temporary Act on Transparency Turbo Liquidation to be extended for another 2 years
The Temporary Act on Transparency Turbo Liquidation was introduced in the Netherlands for a period of two years, until 15 November 2025. The Dutch Ministry of Justice and Security has now decided to extend this period for another two years.
The decision was based on research showing that stricter requirements have contributed to greater transparency and provided a better legal position for creditors.
This means that the additional obligations associated with a turbo liquidation of a Dutch entity will remain in force until 15 November 2027. These obligations include, among others, the filing of a balance sheet and a statement of income and expenses, the filing of a written statement explaining the background and reasons for the liquidation, and a stricter application of a director disqualification in cases where creditors remain unpaid.
Please, Contact CIS Management for further information or assistance regarding (turbo) liquidation of a Dutch entity.
